DeVetter Design Group is working with Midwest Management Resources to develop a new fine arts charter school in East-Central Minnesota. Located on Green Lake at a former Girl Scout camp, it will utilize some of the original camp buildings. The school’s focus will be visual and performing arts education and will take inspiration from the summer camp typology. The campus’s studio and instructional buildings will be connected with a series of permeable walkways, encouraging connection to nature and interdisciplinary education. These out-buildings circle the main building, which will house food service, administration, physical education, general purpose classrooms, and public performance and display areas.

The project has several prospective partners, including a local school district, a state college, and Chisago City. These partners will allow for expanded programming and educational possibilities, and the potential for public facilities sharing. De

The project has several prospective partners, including a local school district, a state college, and Chisago City. These partners will allow for expanded programming and educational possibilities, and the potential for public facilities sharing. DeVetter Design Group and Midwest Management Resources will assist these groups in crafting a joint powers agreement to facilitate equitable shared use of the site.
